About Cherie

Books, books, and more books. My life has always been surrounded by them. My love affair with reading began as soon as I understood what the squiggles within those pages meant.

As a young child I always knew that I wanted to work with people and to help them learn and grow. This took me down the path of becoming a primary school teacher with plans to become a reading recovery teacher because I wanted to help everyone find a love for the stories inside the pages.

Life’s twists and turns led me to meet my husband in high school, have two beautiful sons (one born while we were living in England), living through the Christchurch earthquakes, moving to the other side of the world, moving back to New Zealand (but this time to the North Island), and changing my career multiple times. But one area that remained the same was my deep passion for reading and the stories that an author creates. I finally decided to make my passion my career.

 

No matter who writes the story, whether you are new to writing or a dab hand, you need an editor.
